All In One DJ Controller Setup
The All-In-One DJ Controller setup is a unique combination of some of the best features of both the CDJ setup and the controller setup. They basically combine two decks and a mixer into a single unit. Unfortunately, none of these units plays CDs, but really, that’s been a dying feature since the advent of the USB stick.
The units currently on the market have big screens that display a waveform of the active songs, have an effects unit and hot cue pads.

What is the difference between an All In One DJ Controller and a standard Controller?
What separates an All-In-One Controller from a standard Controller is they ALWAYS have an onboard sound card, and they always have a display which means you don’t need a laptop or external sound card. You can literally plug in your USB stick full of tunes, plug in your speakers and away you go. See the diagram below, such an uncomplicated setup.
And if you do want to add a laptop to the mix, then you can. They still allow the same functionality as a controller, and most of the units integrate well with Rekordbox, Serato or Virtual DJ. You can also plug in 2 more decks, meaning that if you already have a turntable or older CDJ, they won’t go to waste.
Pioneer and Denon are again leading the charge with the All-In-One units, though there are offerings from Numark and Reloop (neither of the latter has the feature set of Pioneer/Denon).
But what you’ll really love about the All-In-One units is the price! For what you get, 2 decks and a mixer, it would cost you at least double to buy the units separately.
