LEARN HOW TO BECOME A DJ
Learning how to become a DJ is the most rewarding thing I’ve done with my life. To be the fuser of music, a maestro of the decks, a rhythm maker and a dance floor shaker is something that can’t be matched when it comes to filling your soul with ecstasy.
It clicked how much of a musical artform DJing is when I stumbled across a Hot Since 82 set quite a few years back. He was playing his decks like an instrument, switching between basslines, feeling the groove, flaring the build-ups and ebbing the breakdowns. His timing was impeccable, and his skill was absurd, all whilst doing a jig with a face full of pride and pleasure. I watched that set on repeat until the pull was overwhelming.
I wanted in. And this is how I did it.
