DRUM & BASS: THE MOVEMENT captures drum & bass culture’s rapid acceleration from 1996 – 2016. It explores how a unique UK club culture rose from the underground to become a global phenomenon infiltrating and influencing disciplines from mainstream pop music to video games.
Featuring Goldie, Andy C, Roni Size, DJ Flight, Grooverider, Ed Rush & Optical, Mefjus, Friction, El Hornet, Chase & Status and many more, as well as exclusive unseen footage from our scene’s rich history.

Pump Up The Volume: A History Of Dance Music
PUMP UP THE VOLUME is a documentary about the history of house music, from its early days as NY disco to the massive International scene it has become.
First part: starting with disco in the mid-seventies and early eighties at clubs in New York, Chicago and Detroit. With Larry Levan in New York at the Paradise Garage, Frankie Knuckles and Ron Hardy at the Warehouse later called Music Box in Chicago.
Second part: late 80s. With the Summer of love at the Haçienda, Manchester, club Amnesia at Ibiza and the early days of Detroit techno, acid house and the UK Raves.
Third part: influence of house music in the UK, late eighties and early nineties.

At the 2016 Loop summit, Dr. Jason Hockman gave a fascinating talk about the evolving role of breakbeats in electronic music, from their initial usage in hip hop into a second-generation appropriation in genres including jungle and drum & bass.
He also presents recent ethnographic and technological research in breakbeat oriented electronic music.

The Underground Sound of Paris
The Underground Sound of Paris is the first in a new series of documentaries where we go deep; probing and exploring unique facets of electronic music club culture.
Told through the eyes of the characters who created, germinated and spawned the scene over twenty years ago – Laurent Garnier, D’Julz, DJ Deep, Nick V and the former Minister of Culture, Jack Lang – to current rave mavericks – Concrete, 75021 at 6B, Francois X, Antigone and Djebali – they lead us through the journey from Paris’ roots in African rhythms and Jazz, to the 90s electronic explosion including the inaugural Techno Parade, through to the current anti-establishment DIY party ethic of the scene today.
