General Terms

If you’re reading this, you most likely have a song, music set, story, blog, article, artwork, photograph or poem you’d like to share with Midnight Electronica’s readers. We happily consider almost all subject matter, but only if it follow the guidelines below. Please take the time to read through this before submitting your work.

 

By submitting to Midnight Electronica, you certify the following stipulations are true;

  • You are the sole creator of the submission
  • You are 18 years of age or older and legally able to write, submit and read the material you are submitting.
  • You grant Midnight Electronica the right to publish your submission
  • You grant Midnight Electronica the right to use all legal means available to protect your published work from unauthorized use by other parties.

Midnight Electronica offers a revenue share program to all site contributors. You can find those details here.

 

Formatting

Use H1, H2, H3 headings in all submitted documents.

 

Keywords

If you are writing an advice article or product review, Midnight Electronica will send you a set of keywords to be incorporated into your submission’s H1, H2, H3 tags, first and last 100 words and scattered throughout the text. Keywords are vital for your submission to be noticed by the Google search algorithm, which in turn, will help drive traffic to it.

There are plenty of videos on YouTube that explain the basics of SEO, well worth watching if you are looking to get noticed in the digital world.

 

Research and Links

Please include any references and links you refer to or reference in the article and be sure they are available to the general public

 

Product Placements

Midnight Electronica is funded by advertising on the site. A big part of that is linking to products that are for sale on Amazon of which Midnight Electronica receives an affiliate commission for selling. Big brownie points will be given if your article includes Amazon products and their link.

 

Don’t waffle

Short sharp sections sound far better than long waffly ones that repeat themselves. Don’t submit work like this. I’d rather you come in short on a word count than long with waffle.

If you want to go beyond the word count agreed, please send me the article you’ve written and an explanation of where you want to take it.

 

Editing

I’m not an editor, nor do I have the time for it. Your submissions will be returned if it doesn’t meet an acceptable standard.

 

Timing

I will endeavor to publish all work within a week of submission. This obviously depends on how clean your article it is and how well it sticks to the above guidelines.
